What People Do With Their Cell Phones in the Bathroom.
A survey released from cloud-based online service MiMedia asked 1,000 people about their smartphone habits in the bathroom, and this is what they found out:
In total about 69 percent said they used their phone while on their toilet. Twelve percent of participants admitted to watching porn on their smartphone while on the toilet.
A quarter said they had dropped their phone in the toilet. More than half decided to continue using their phone, while 10 percent said they found it too too disgusting to use afterward — although they did save it. The survey failed to inquire if they washed their hands, or sanitized the toilet phone. The world may never know…
More than half said they visited their social media sites including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat while in the bathroom. One out of four played games, while a quarter said they watched videos and movies.
About three-fourths of the participants said they spent longer than usual in the bathroom because they were going through their phone. Men were more likely to text on the toilet than women which kept them in the bathroom a little longer.
Interestingly, 83 percent of people who said they used dating apps while on the toilet were men. Males were more likely to swipe right (meaning say yes on Tinder) while on the royal porcelain throne. So, ladies if you got a yes from a male on Tinder, he could have picked you as his number one while performing his number two.
Only women confessed they took selfies or photos while in the bathroom. Although men can’t be completely excluded since, personally, I’ve received unsolicited male bathroom selfies.
And there you have it, your cell phone bathroom stats!
